Ogni tecnico impegnato nella manutenzione e nel controllo delle radio FM, ogni editore o direttore di stazione radio, non può rinunciare ad eseguire misure, in qualsiasi punto si trovi , per valutare la congestione della banda, identificare le stazioni emittenti per nome, ognuna con la sua intensità di segnale, frequenza, deviazione e potenza MPX e livello RDS.

Infatti, inoltre, è possibile creare un rapporto dettagliato, per ogni stazione radio, di tutte le informazioni più importanti, a partire da quelle trasmesse tramite RADIO TEXT, fino alla lista delle frequenze alternative (AF). disponendo pi di una connessione in rete è possibile avere tutte le misure ed il controllo dello strumento anche da remoto, in tempo reale.
Per avere tutte le misure sotto controllo è semplicissimo: prendete il "band Scanner", connettetelo tramite porta USB a qualsiasi PC, lanciate il Software sviluppato per Windows dato in dotazione ed immediatamente avrete la situazione di cosa sta succedendo nell'intera banda FM in quel punto. Lanciando poi l'analisi di spettro avrete la visione completa del livello di ogni frequenza con l'indicazione del nome dell'emittente.
Per i tecnici che vogliono approfondire l'analisi, è possbile per ogni emittente, decodificare ed analizzare tutte le caratteristiche del segnale RDS in maniera semplice ed economica.

The "Band Scanner Pro" can measure RF level, MPX deviation, Left & Right Audio levels, RDS and Pilot injection levels. The system is powered by the USB port of any Windows PC. Supplied free of charge Windows software sweeps the receiver across the FM band, logging every carrier and generating a spectrum display of carrier level vs. frequency. It then analyzes each carrier and creates a station list. Stations with an RDS presence are further refined to show all the radio data groups being transmitted. Its interface is like a portable radio: It may be tuned manually through the receiver screen or by double-clicking a point on the spectrum plot or an entry on the station list. Spectrum plots may be saved as jpg or bmp files. The RDS data error level is graphed in a separate window on the receiver screen. The program can be monitored with headphones plugged into a standard 1/8" jack.
